When genrating a sitemap and publishing the published sitemaps hyperlinks to internal pages do not work as the links are genarated with HTTP:// being duplicated.
I.e Http://HTTP://www.yourdoamain.co.uk/home.htm
As such the sitemap is kind of useless.

You can change the homepage filename to index by right clicking the page (left windowpane) select Properties, change the filename to index.htm.
Then, you can delete the old htm page from your web hosting server by logging into your web hosting server with an ftp program like FileZilla.

Thanks for the reply Vicki, but my home page is called index.htm. Also, i do not see how the name will cause the Http:// to be duplicated in the hyperlinks on links in the site map.
Basically every link is written Http://Http://www. causing the link not to work, and its the same for every page link that is in the sitemap page.

Fixed the problem, turns out in the publish setup i had put the domain name as Http://yourdomain.co.uk when it should have just been entered yourdomain.co.uk lol
