Strings not found

Postby mikedaly » Sat Aug 01, 2009 1:56 pm

I am trying to produce a template from a HTML page.
I followed the instructions "Create a template"
Everything is found and is working until I press "Generate Template" then I get the following error message:-

Error: Strings in the navigation bar named "level3" are not found

I have tried altering the html to no effect apart from sometimes the error message refers to level2

Any advice appreciated

It is not finding your navigation level3. So, go into the html code and make sure that you have the navigation text typed out correctly and spaces correctly: level3a label3b level3a

Please try referring again to the help guide or you can contact me directly from our support page.

Hi Vicki,
Not matter what I try I get the same result, the template maker recognises the navigation level and then stops when it tries to produce the template.
Perhaps it is the way Ewisoft works? I am trying to set up multi-level navigation with UL and LI tied in to two cascading style sheets. I can get it to work fine with a standard html editor but I want to try and produce an Ewisoft template to make the generation of additional pages easier than manualy linking everything up in html.
Will Ewisoft work with UL and LI instead of tables or is Ewisoft built around the use of tables?

You'll have to send me your files so I can take a look.
